Announcing the 2013 KOFFIA Short Film Competition


Entries Close 14th of June 2013 6pm 

The KOFFIA Short Film Competition is your chance to explore your love of film making and have your work shown on the big screen! The Korean Cultural Office along with the support from Metro Screen and the University of Sydney presents the 2nd KOFFIA Short Film Competition.

Open to filmmakers of any cultural background, this exciting competition offers opportunities to budding filmmakers Australia wide! Simply submit a film which incorporates Korea in any aspect. It’s that easy! Your film will qualify if it meets the following criteria:

a)       Your theme, story or topic of the film incorporates Korea OR

b)       A member of the main production staff (Director, Writer, Producer, Actor) are Korean OR

c)       The film incorporates Korean Language and/or Culture

Think you have what it takes? Then get filming! Submit your film by the due date of June 14th and you could be taking away the following prizes! 대박 Daebak! (Awesome in Korean!). For full entry details and to submit your full, please see our KOFFIA website

 

2013 Awards and Prizes


  • ·    Jury Award 1st: $2,000 cash prize
  • ·    Jury Award 2nd: $1,000 cash prize
  • ·    Jury Award 3rd: $500 cash prize
  • ·    Jury Special Recognition Award: Brand new Camera
  • ·    Metroscreen Audience Award 

*Jury awards are awarded upon the criteria of narrative, artistic value and technicality

*The Jury Special Recognition award is awarded to a film in recognition of its premise/storyline or for a presented factor of attraction identified by the jury members that they feel deserves special recognition

*The Metroscreen audience award is awarded to the film with the most votes from the audience
