Synopsis:

A man reminisces about the past when he hears the soothing tones of Pansori. The story of a family's struggle to survive as pure artists in an ever-changing world. This critically acclaimed film was screened at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival and also received 6 Grand Bell awards and 6 Korean Film Critic's Awards. From promiment Korean filmmaker Im Kwon-taek, Sopyonje was his 93rd film.
