Following the World premiere of Moving at the 2011 New Zealand International Film Festival, the Korean Cultural Office proudly presents the Australian premere of this extremely simple and yet powerfully effective film. The documentary covers a Korean couple who immigrated to Christchurch in 2002, who tell of their long struggle to establish themselves and their family and how after much hard work managed to succeed with 2 busy restaurants. The film captures them measuring the spiritual and psychological dimensions of their material loss, following the recent New Zealand Earthquakes. The film has been especially selected to represent the New Zealand-Korea Year of Friendship 2012.
Theme: 1st Special Screening: New Zealand-Korea Year of Friendship. The occassion celebrates 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and New Zealand. Read more bout the couples experience through sharing their lives on screen.
