2022 HANGEUL SARANG (KOREAN ALPHABET LOVE) EVENT

To celebrate upcoming Hangeul Day (09/10/2022), the Korean Cultural Centre presents the 2022 Hangeul Sarang Event this year.

Hangeul is the Korean alphabetic writing system created back in 1443 by Kong Sejong the Great. Hangeul, consisting of only 28 letters, boasts its originality and simplicity which enables the general public to learn Korean quickly and easily. Hangeul is the official writing system of the Korean language and was designated as World Record Heritage by UNESCO in 1989.

This year’s Hangeul Sarang Event will be a special opportunity for anyone residing in Australia with or without prior knowledge of Hangeul. We have prepared two different online event, one for children and one for youth and adults, to allow anyone to participate and appreciate the beauty of Hangeul while decorating the Korean words or writing your favourite K-pop lyrics in any way you like the most.
