Miranda Day

Born and raised in countryside Western Australia Miranda Day created MiranDay designs out of her passion for Traditional Korean clothing – the Hanbok.

After learning of the Hanbok during her studies of Costume Design at Swinburne University in 2011, Miranda went on to study Korean Language and Culture at Monash University in 2013. As part of her studies Miranda moved to Seoul in 2019 and undertook further language and cultural courses at Yonsei University. During her years of study MiranDay Designs was born and she now creates unique handmade garments for purchase and hire in Melbourne, Australia. MiranDay Designs works to promote Hanbok here in Australia and around the world. By raising awareness of the traditional clothing she hopes both younger and older generation will become interested in Korean culture and textiles. Each Hanbok designed and made by MiranDay is a unique creation using a range of limited one-of-a-kind fabrics from all around the globe. Designed to make each wearer feel special and beautiful. MiranDay Hanboks truly are the creation of her love of Hanbok.
