 Calling all Korean language enthusiasts, passionate learners, and aspiring speakers! Are you ready to embark on a thrilling linguistic journey? Step up to the challenge and participate in the exhilarating 2023 Korean Speech Contest! Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to showcase your Korean language skills as this contest will allow you to express your thoughts, stories, and aspirations in Korean. Just like last year, this year’s contest will be held ONLINE, so that anyone can participate

TOPIC (CHOOSE ONE TOPIC FROM THE FOLLOWING, UP TO 4 MINUTES)
1. “내가 보는 한국, 한국인이 보는 한국” (“Korea that I see, Korea that Koreans see”)
2. “가보고 싶은 대한민국의 도시와 소개하고 싶은 나의 도시”  (“City I want to visit in Korea and my city that I would like to introduce”)

ELIGIBILITY
– Non-Korean background Korean language learners all across Australia
– Aged 18 or above

PRIZES
– First Place (1 Winner): Certificate, Eligibility to participate in ‘Korean Speech Contest’ and ‘Korean Cultural Training Program’ held in Korea organized by King Sejong Institute Foundation
– Second Place (1 Winner): Certificate, $300 Westfield gift card
– Third Place (2 Winners): Certificate, $200 Westfield gift card
– Participation Prize: All other finalists will receive a certificate and $50 Westfield gift card

CONTEST SCHEDULE
– Application Period: From now ~ 05/07/2023 (WED) 16:00 (AEST)
– Announcement of finalists: 07/07/2023 (WED) 16:00 (AEST)
– Grand Final: 13/07/2023 (THU) 18:30 (AEST) / Online via Zoom

JUDGING CRITERIA
– Diversity (30), Fluency (30), Accuracy (20), Pronunciation (20)
