BOOK OF THE MONTH: Cursed Bunny by Bora Chung
STORY OF THE BOOK: Cursed Bunny is a genre-defying collection of short stories by Korean author Bora Chung. Blurring the lines between magical realism, horror, and sceince-fiction, Chung uses elements of the fantastic and surreal to address the capitalism in modern society. It was shortlisted for the 2022 International Booker Prize.

MODERATOR BIO

1. Michaela Kalowski
Michaela Kalowski is an interviewer, moderator and curator for writers and ideas festivals. Highlight interviews include Margaret Atwood, David Mitchell, Michelle de Kretser, Stan Grant, Holly Ringland & Etgar Keret. She’s the curator of ABC RN’s on-air writers festival, Big Weekend of Books, now in its 4th year. She hosts a monthly book interview series for Petersham Bowling Club, called Readers – Books and Conversations. In 2022 she was curator of International Author events for Brisbane Writers Festival. Michaela has conducted radio interviews for ABC RN’s The Music Show, Big Ideas & The Bookshelf, ABC Classic and has presented programs across ABC radio.

2. Harry Jun
Harry Jun is a Sydney based comedian, host and cartoonist. He is the host of ABC Gamer’s The Loot Drop, a weekly gaming news show with hot takes, sketches and silly jokes. Harry started performing stand-up in 2017 and has performed at venues all over Australia including the Sydney Comedy Store, and the Chatswood Concourse. Harry recently performed a sold-out run of the 2022 Sydney Comedy Festival at Enmore Theatre (the little room).
